A STORY ABOUT THE EDGE

This race wasn’t inspired by a finish. It was inspired by a question:

What happens when the path to success demands that you invite failure?

Most ultrarunning events allow you to fade, settle, or manage your decline.

But when Jasmin Paris finished the Barkley Marathons in 2024, she couldn't.

To finish within 60 hours, she had to invite failure from the very beginning:
running the first three loops almost 3½ hours faster than she had the previous year.

By the fifth and final loop, she still had to escalate:
loop 5 had to be faster than loop 4,
and the very last section had to be faster than she'd run it on loop 1.

She reached the edge and just made it through,
with 99 seconds to spare.

We kept thinking about that moment.

And it inspired us…

Now imagine a race that demands escalation from the very beginning.
One that asks you to invite the possibility of failure,
with every single lap, until you reach your edge.

We called it the Edge.

Not everyone will finish.

Everyone will reach the Edge.
